How do I cancel my cell phone?
Posted by admin
How do I cancel my cell phone with out getting charged up the wazoo! I've tried doing it becuase where I live now doesn't get good reception, and when I tell the customer service that, all they wanna do is 'trouble shoot' my phone, nothing is wrong with the phone, it's the location. HELP! they are driving me nuts
You may need a letter from a lawyer to the cell phone company stating they are not providing the service they promised so you are quitting your contract. If you shop around & make some calls, you can find one that won't be too expensive.

Look at your contract and your plan. It probably states that you have 30 days from the day you buy your phone to return it and to cancel your contract. If that time period is up and over, and your company wants to trouble shoot your phone, tell them you aren't getting any service on your plan. Someone has to be able to help you! Also, if your phone is older, it might not work as well. I switched from a phone I had since two years ago and now my new phone gets two more bars than before. Try that, if it doesn't work, you'll just be charged a $200 cancellation fee depending on your plan. They might let you break that up into monthly payments or send you to collections if you don't pay within the billing period. Good luck!

you can go to any of the local store that take the service of your phone company and tell them you want to deactivate your cell phone.you will have to pay some fees if your phone plan isn't done.

You might have to talk to someone higher up than just the regular Customer Service Representatives (if you haven't already). If you have issues with coverage then they MAY let you out of your contract early. If they don't, then it might save you money to just pay the Early Termination Fee than to try and wait out the contract with a phone that doesn't really work.

Go to the verzon store. Or the Sprint store or whatever you have and tell them that you would like o cancel your phone service and they will help you do it or they will do it for you. You could also call and tell them. That works too. Hope I helped. Good luck.
